Karl Lindner- Thomas Gibson

In the play, Karl Lindner represented the "chairman" of the welcoming committee (pg. 1065) of the white neighborhood that Mama bought a house in. The first time he visited the Youngers he went on about how the blacks and whites should sit and communicate with each other, but then goes on saying that (pg.1066) "Negro families are happier when they live in their own communities." He tried to get them out of the neighborhood the second time by paying them money, but was declined. The actor that I chose to play this role is Thomas Gibson, I remember him acting as a lawyer in the show Dharma and Greg years ago and also watched him act as a criminal investigator on Criminal Minds. He has the experience as an actor to take on the role as Karl Lidner

Pg.1065 Physical description- “Quiet-looking middle-aged white man in a business suit holding his hat and a briefcase in his hand.”

  1. Wonderful! I love the fact that you're using such specific quotes! I notice that you put the physical description quote at the end -- is there perhaps a way to incorporate that, too, into your paragraph?
